Andy Cohen ended the March eight episode of Watch What Happens Live with a passionate rebuttal of Florida’s controversial Mother and father Rights in Training invoice, which handed within the state senate earlier that day.
Often known as the “Do not Say Homosexual” invoice, the measure, per NBC News, goals to ban “classroom dialogue about sexual orientation or gender id” in Florida’s major colleges.
Cohen referred to as the passage “personally disturbing,” telling Florida Republicans they’re “pretending to resolve an issue that does not exist.
“There’s not a mass conspiracy of kindergarten academics who’re plotting to show kids to be homosexual,” he stated. “That is one huge canine whistle. You are scaring individuals into spewing hate and discrimination on the LGBTQ neighborhood.”
Acknowledging that the phrases “do not say homosexual” don’t explicitly seem within the invoice, Cohen added, “I am involved that its intentionally imprecise language leaves room for it to be interpreted that manner.”
