Russian and Chinese language strategic bombers conduct joint patrols in Asia By Reuters

MOSCOW (Reuters) -Russian and Chinese language strategic warplanes, together with Tupolev-95 long-range “Bear” bombers, performed joint patrols over the Sea of Japan and East China Sea, the Russian defence ministry stated on Wednesday.

South Korea’s army stated earlier that it scrambled fighter jets as two Chinese language and 6 Russian warplanes entered its air defence zone.

Russia’s defence ministry stated that “at sure levels of the route, strategic missile carriers had been accompanied by fighters of overseas states.”

“An air group consisting of Tu-95MC strategic missile carriers of the Russian Aerospace Forces and strategic bombers XIAN H-6K of the PLA Air Drive carried out air patrols over the waters of the Japanese and East China Seas,” the ministry stated.

It stated Russian and Chinese language plane “acted strictly in accordance with the provisions of worldwide legislation” and that no overseas airspace was violated.

It was the primary time that Russia and Chinese language army plane landed in one another’s airfields as a part of a joint air patrol, the ministry stated.

The Tupolev Tu-95, recognized by NATO as “Bear”, together with the Tu-160, is the spine of Russia’s long-range air assault nuclear forces. It was designed to drop nuclear bombs on the US within the Chilly Battle.
