Auto retail large AutoNation Inc.‘s first-quarter internet earnings surged on greater used-vehicle gross sales and income, jumps in components and repair revenues and gross earnings per new-vehicle that greater than doubled, all of which was greater than sufficient to offset a 19 % drop in new-vehicle gross sales quantity and decrease income.
The nation’s largest new-vehicle retailer stated Thursday that internet earnings soared 51 % to $362.1 million. Income jumped 14 % to $6.75 billion.
