The California Public Utilities Fee (CPUC) on Monday issued permits to self-driving units of General Motors and Alphabet Inc.’s Waymo to permit for passenger service in autonomous autos with security drivers current.
CPUC mentioned the GM unit Cruise and Alphabet’s Waymo are below Drivered Deployment permits approved to gather fares from passengers and will provide shared rides.
In September, California’s Division of Motor Autos issued permits for Cruise and Waymo to offer passenger service with out fare assortment.
