Preston Automotive Group purchased its first dealership in Wilmington, Del., with the acquisition of Brandywine Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-Ram on Feb. 24.
The group acquired the dealership from Robert Jones and Steve Boyd, stated Robert Childs, chief advertising and marketing officer at Preston Automotive, of Maryland.
The dealership was renamed Preston Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram of Wilmington. It marks the second Stellantis retailer for the group.
“We’re excited to group up with the Jones and Boyd household and construct on their over 60 yr fame,” Preston Automotive CEO David Wilson Jr. stated in a statement.
The transaction included a collision middle and an RV dealership, each in Wilmington.
It marks the primary acquisition for Preston Automotive because it purchased a Maryland Ford dealership in October 2020, Childs stated.
Preston Automotive now has 14 dealerships throughout Delaware, Maryland and Virgina.
The group ranks No. 125 on Automotive Information‘ most up-to-date listing of the highest 150 dealership teams primarily based within the U.S., retailing 7,541 new automobiles in 2020.
