Find My Friends is a mobile phone tracking application for iOS devices. You can use the app to find someone’s location or to let your friends know you’re on your way to their location. It has been integrated with Find My iPhone in iOS 13.
Allow people to follow you.
Find My Friends, the Apple iPhone application, allows you to see where your friends are. As long as you have WiFi enabled, you’ll be able to get an update on where they are at any given time. The app even boasts a few nifty tricks, such as push notifications. For example, you can opt to be notified on the dreaded “I’m going to be gone” alert or set up an automatic reminder. If you’re feeling lucky, you can also receive an alert if your friend is within a specific range of your current location.
When using Find My, you’ll be greeted by a large green circle with a small blue dot within. This is your location, or at least the one you can see from your current location.
Share your location indefinitely.
If you have an iPhone, you can share your location indefinitely with friends. This feature is handy for several reasons, from helping you find your lost phone to keeping an eye on someone after they’ve shared their location.
To share your location indefinitely, start by logging into your Apple account and going to Settings. From there, go to Privacy and turn on location services. You can set a time limit for location sharing or leave it open indefinitely.
You can also use Google Maps to share your location. When you log into Google Maps, a menu will appear at the top left of the screen. Click on Share My Location, which will open a list of people you can share your location.
Pause your location without letting your friends know
Regarding iPhone and iPad apps, Apple has a habit of churning out an impressive number of iterations each month. One way to differentiate your shiny new toy from the competition is to hone your social skills and stay connected at all times. The best way to do this is to use a dedicated app like Find My iPhone or a well-crafted sms message. As the name suggests, this app notifies you when you’re lost or missing, making your life much easier. Of course, the best part about this service is that it’s free, and that’s a win-win for you and your loved ones. Using this app, you’ll be able to track your lost or missing iPhone or iPad down to the last digits, or at least the corresponding byte, on your mobile phone.
Restart your phone
It’s a good idea to reboot your iPhone or Android handset now and then. Then, your device will be rejuvenated, and all the running programs will be started fresh. This is the quickest and most thorough way of fixing any snafus.
Several software and hardware bug boons can be a nuisance, but a quick Google search will bring up many helpful tutorials to get your device back to top shape in no time. One of the best ways of doing this is to follow the manufacturer’s instructions to the letter. For example, if you own an iPhone 7, you’ll need to press and hold the volume and power buttons together until you hear the beep above.
Some devices require a more elaborate setup. For example, if you own an iPhone X, you’ll need to slide the power off the previous slide. You’ll also need to flip up your iPhone’s screen and flick the appropriate app. Alternatively, you could turn on the device’s display while holding the power button.
Resolve location not found
If you are trying to locate a friend, but you are getting a “no location found” message; there are a few things you can do to resolve this problem. First, you should check to see if the person’s phone is working. If it is, then you may want to turn on location services. You can do this by opening the Settings app on the device and then depending on GPS and Location Services.
Next, you will want to determine if the device is signed into the Find My Friends app. This feature can show you where your friends are. However, it will not work if your friend is not signed into the app.
Another issue that can cause a “no location found” message is an outdated iOS version. The latest software version should fix this problem. To update, go to settings on the iPhone and tap General, Software Update, and Install.
