Google Handwriting Input

If you’re using a Google Android smartphone or tablet, you can add handwriting input to your device. This feature, dubbed “handwritten text recognition,” can be helpful when typing or writing documents or letters and using your smartphone’s touch screen.

Supports more than 200 languages

If you are looking for a free handwriting input app for Android, you should look at the Gboard app. This is one of the most popular keyboard apps on the Google Play store. It also supports a variety of input methods.

The Gboard app is designed to detect handwritten text and transform it into digital text. In addition, it can translate text from one language to another. You can even use voice input and cursive writing.

Currently, more than 200 languages are supported by the Gboard app. But you’ll need the latest application version to get the full benefits.

When you are ready to start writing, you’ll need to enable the Gboard handwriting-to-text feature. Fortunately, this is a quick and easy task. Swipe right from the Keyboard menu until you reach the Handwriting option. Then, make sure that it’s checked.

While there, you’ll also find options for choosing your font size, auto-scroll area width, and word spacing. Lastly, you’ll be able to save your text to the Cloud.

Integrates seamlessly with your Android onscreen keyboard

It’s not often you see a smartphone or tablet with an integrated text scanner, let alone one that combines with your onscreen keyboard. However, the device above can convert your photos into text without requiring manual input. Moreover, it is capable of performing batch scanning tasks, like those involved in data entry, as well. It can do the job above in the blink of an eye. Hence, it is no wonder it has become the new default in many Android users’ arsenals. And, with such capabilities at your disposal, you can spend more time on your smartphone and less on your pen and paper. So, you can now concentrate on more important matters, like how to write an excellent letter to your boss.

You can do all this while keeping up with the latest technological innovations and gadgets on the road. For example, you can have a hand in your pocket with Bluetooth wireless earbuds or Bluetooth speakers. In short, you can now make your phone a mobile tinkering station.

Emoji recognition

Google’s Handwriting Input app is a free writing tool on the Google Play Store. It’s meant to work with Android 4.0.3 or higher. You can also use a stylus, but you should have an internet connection for cloud-based handwriting recognition.

The app works by recognizing your handwriting and translating it into text. There are 82 languages supported so far. Although Google hasn’t officially tested this feature, it looks promising.

One exciting feature is the ability to draw emojis. To get started, tap on the emoji handwriting button. A bar will appear, displaying three different interpretations of what you wrote. You can select the left arrow icon if you choose to erase any of your words.

While the feature isn’t as accurate as simple emojis, it is fun. Drawing your emojis is more accessible than searching for the appropriate phrase.

It’s possible that this app can collect your personal information and passwords. This could help it improve its accuracy.
