Xiaomi Mi 10t Pro Camera Review

The Xiaomi Mi 10t Pro is a mid-range smartphone with plenty of advanced specs and features for a reasonable price. Its 144Hz display and 108-megapixel camera make it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-end smartphone with a more affordable price tag.

While the display isn’t quite as good as an OLED screen at this price point, it’s still a decent option. The IPS LCD panel is a solid performer, with vibrant colors and strong viewing angles.

Camera

Cameras are a big part of a smartphone, and the Xiaomi Mi 10t Pro is no exception. With a 108MP primary sensor, a 5MP macro, and 13MP ultra-wide, it’s not the most exciting spec sheet in the world but – as a result – the photos it takes are rich with detail.

Regarding low-light performance, the Mi 10t Pro does a respectable job of picking up details in dark scenes. It’s not the best we’ve seen, and there’s a noticeable amount of noise reduction in night mode shots, but it does perform reasonably well.

However, the telephoto lens is missing. Instead, all zooming here is achieved via digital cropping from the main 108MP image – which means you lose a lot of detail at higher magnifications. This isn’t an issue up to five, but it becomes more of a problem when you reach the max 30x telephoto mode.

Storage

The Mi 10t Pro is one of the best phones you can buy now. It features a 144Hz AdaptiveSync display, a top-tier Qualcomm processor, 5G support, 8GB of RAM, and a massive 5,000mAh battery.

It also has an impressive camera setup – a 108MP f/1.7 sensor with a Samsung Bright S5KHMX module, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 20MP selfie camera. Xiaomi doesn’t skimp on the rear camera, which means you get good detail and accurate colors.

The camera software does a lot of work, tweaking the images to make them look better. Several modes like Vlog and Front and Back let you shoot a series of mini-videos you can edit together later.

Battery

The Mi 10t Pro boasts a massive 5000mAh battery, which makes it able to keep up with heavy usage for long periods. It also supports fast charging and has a 33W charger in the retail package.

Its 108-megapixel primary sensor can take high-resolution photos, which can then be cropped into a larger image for more detail. Moreover, it can take impressive ultra-wide-angle shots, macro close-ups, and Night mode pictures.

Despite this, the Mi 10t Pro isn’t excellent in low light conditions. The primary sensor is prone to noise, and details are lost in the shadows.

On the other hand, the AdaptiveSync display can automatically adjust its refresh rate depending on what you’re watching, streaming, or playing to conserve battery life. It’s one of the fastest displays on the market right now, alongside the Asus ROG Phone 3.

Performance

The Xiaomi Mi 10t Pro 5G has much to offer regarding performance: a giant screen, a powerful processor, and an impressive 108MP camera. While it’s not perfect, it is an excellent choice for gamers and those after a high-end phone at an affordable price point.

The Mi 10T Pro camera is a 108MP Samsung HMX sensor that offers digital zoom of up to 30x and support for 8K video recording. It is a notch below the 64MP Sony IMX 682 found in the Mi 10T, but it still manages to grab excellent photos rich in detail.

Night mode also works well, allowing you to capture much more light in the dark. However, color and saturation are a little hit-and-miss, with some images looking a touch anemic.
